Hey lads.. Was lookin into doing a bit of fundraising for the alzheimers society of ireland.. My Dad was a long time sufferer and passed away last week, so was lookin into raising a bit of money for it.... Just looking for a few suggestions, emailed the society aswell, and they said they can send out things we need like, t shirts, posters pens.....etc.. Was looking along the lines of the fun day that was done recently, but maybe something indoors.. looking to get some coverage for it too as its seriously underfunded and not all much recognised.. Looking forward to hearing some ideas anyway..

Hey Ray, first off my condolences on hearing about your dad, i never knew he was suffering from alzheimers. I think this is a great idea, and it would be great to help out some of our own members who are personally affected by such issues. We'll raise this at our November meeting and see if we can get the ball rolling, in the the meantime all ideas greatly welcomed

Hi Ray. Sorry for your loss. I have an aunt going through it at the moment, and it is heart-breaking. You can count me in. Tony.

Hey,

Sorry for your loss, my dad is going through illness at the moment and hopefully he'll pull through.

I think its a good idea and I'm up for it.

Busking on the streets sounds like a great way to promote the cause to the people rather than promoting an event and trying to get people to come to a specific location.

Either way Im in the media and will write about it in my own paper and try to contact the echo when we finalise things.

Hey Ray,

My sympathies again, on your loss. It's encouraging to see you try to do something positive from it though - you can put me down for whatever we organise.

A Vegas themed night is a great idea and your right about it being a lot of work, but whatever we organise will take a lot of work anyway!:) We have a lot of options open to us and at the moment the best thing is to keep the ideas coming and see whats going to work best for us and the Alzheimers Society.
